Our microwave broke two days ago and since we're all moving out in May, it doesn't make much sense for us to buy a completely new one. But if you've got an extra one kicking around, we'd love to pay you and take it off your hands. Let me know.
Do you want to win a $100 gift card to the Campus Store?

What?? A 3-person Westdale apartment!? Great location, large common area, two one-flip wonders, and wonderful home-cooked meals every night?!! Breaking bread and breakin' down starts May 1st. Get excited.
Message one of us (read: Kate) for pictures.
tl;dr: See below.
Hey there, lovely asSASSins! I am currently looking for a place to call home for the months of September-December. I know it's quite a ways away, but if you know of any abode that wouldn't mind an enthusiastic, math-loving, cheese-eating, song-singing fellow moving in, please holler at me!
The ever-lovely Steve Clare and I need another housemate for next year. 85 Haddon N. Affordable rent (470 a month, utilities included with refunds at end of year if appropriate). Nice house. 10 ish minutes from campus. I make cookies on a very regular basis and will share these with you if you want to be my friend.
Info in chatbook. Plz.
(come and be one of us, one of us, one of us...)
Matchmakers are in C105! Come and get them with a toonie! Also SASSwear is being sold until Friday!!
I am driving to Montreal on Friday the 14th and I know that's reading week. I plan to drive back on Sunday the 22nd but I am flexible in both departure and arrival. If you'd like to split gas then get in touch.
Update: Only one spot left! Now leaving on Friday around noon from campus.
Dearest SASSafrassians, we (the stunning Melissa Ricci, totally adequate Stevie Clare, and three of our lovely friends) are in need of one more person to join us next year in our humble abode at 85 Haddon Ave N. It's a grand old home with six bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cool basement in a quiet neighborhood just 10 minutes walk from campus.
Now, many people come here looking for a housemate, but we're here looking for a homemate. My friend, should you join us next year you will find yourself showered in delicious cookies, shared meals, good stories, and love (and afterwards you can wash that stew of affection off in one of the actual showers, which, by the way, never run out of hot water).
If this offer interests you please give us (Steve or Melissa) a call to get the deets. Well, an email or Facebook message may be better. We're hoping to get this sorted out as quickly as our landlord fixes house issues (read: quickly. Zing!). Peace!

I'm part of a new student choir and we're looking for a piano accompanist. If you or someone you know can and want to play with a choir, please let me know. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. My info's in chatbook.
For any history-minded-outdoor-enthusiast-summer-job-seeking artscis:
If you want to spend your summer working outdoors in Banff National Park you should consider applying for this job as a heritage ambassador. I did the job last summer and it was a lot of fun, plus living in Banff in the summer is pretty sweet.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions about the job :)
Note: you have to be a student returning to full time studies next year to qualify (and you really have to like people)
I'm looking for 2 more housemates to complete an amazingly located house of 5. Let me know if you are interested.

A friend of mine is looking for volunteers to partake in a psycholinguistics experiment at the University of Toronto. The experiment, which will take place in Sidney Smith Hall, involves listening to short stories and answering comprehension questions about them. It takes about 25 minutes to complete. The only requirement for this experiment is that you should have attended school in North America since kindergarten.
Send an email to email@example.com if you're interested. There'll be monetary compensation for your time. Thanks!
Hi Sassy people!

Dear Sassy Pre-med keeners,
I have some lightly used Princeton Review MCAT study books kicking around at 9 Westbourne. If you would like them contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we can haggle over the price (more for the fun of haggling than anything, I'd be happy to get anything at all for them).
I'm a former artsci coming to Mac for two weeks Jan 7-Jan 18, looking for a place to stay near campus in that time. Please let me know if anyone has a spare room for rent. Thanks! Email: email@example.com.
I'm a former artsci looking to rent a driveway or parking spot near campus, preferably close to the hospital/MDCL area. If anyone is willing to rent out their driveway for next term, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'm very willing to pay a competitive price. Thanks!
Long story, but I missed out on getting a ticket to the Bill Nye thing happening tomorrow night. I don't suppose any kind soul has an extra ticket they'd be willing to sell me, or perhaps know of anyone who is looking to get rid of an extra ticket?
My childhood self will be forever grateful. I can offer cookie incentives.
Info in chatbook, or leave a message here with contact info.
Good luck with exams!!!
Hello, my dear friends.
I have a friend looking to sublet out her place next semester. It's a nice-sized room in a two-bedroom apartment, very close to the Metro in Westdale.
If you, or someone you know, might be interested in this opportunity, feel free to send me an email.
Hello SASS! Does anyone have a mini-cupcake baking pan that I can borrow sometime this week? Email me: email@example.com
For any history minded artscis,
If you're interested in local Hamilton history and/or how to present history to the general public you should stop by the history practicum presentations next week!
6 history students (myself included) were paired with Hamilton neighbourhood associations for the term and have been working on a public history project for them.
We will be presenting our projects and talking about our experiences next Monday (December 2nd) from 2:30-4:30 in CNH 607/B. You don't have to stay for the whole time and there will be light refreshments provided.
If you're combining in history and thinking about taking this course it's definitely worth checking out- it's a great way to get some practical experience working "hands-on" with history :)
I need to sub-let a room Jan-April.
Know any openings plz let me know. Thanks!
Michael Hewlet: please refrain from calling to hit on me.
Hi Science-minded artscis,
This is in part something being passed along from isci, but there may be some interested artscis. Below is a compiled list of some summer research programs that are really, really cool. They are all application based where you work in a lab but are connected to other students from all over the world doing similar things. They also give you money and/or cover your costs. All of their applications are due in January/February. If you have any general questions (I dont know about all of the programs specifically) feel free to email me :)

The website committee has implemented some new, much-needed security features. If you are getting automatically logged out for no reason, the fix to this problem is manually logging yourself out, and then logging in again.
Sorry about any inconvenience and thanks for your cooperation

Hey Artscis interested in global health,
Continuing on my bout of last-minute advertising:

Hi Upper Years,
If you or anyone you in know is interested in hosting a course of Progressive Dinner on 17 October please let me know by shooting me an email (email@example.com). SASS will happily reimburse you for the cost of food and all the proceeds will go to charity!
I am spending a considerable amount of time this year to think and plan how I want to spend the year after I graduate. I have spent a lot of time in school and think that I am now better suited to be learning outside of a classroom, as opposed to in one. I also think it is high time that I see how I can apply the education, among other skills, I have been gifted with.
I am telling all of SASS this because I wanted to know if you knew of any interesting/valuable/fun/challenging experiences or programs that I could either enroll in or help instruct.
Ideally it is something that would take me outside of Canada (to Europe or Asia) but I would be happy with something in Canada as long as there is still an element of adventure to it!
If you have any ideas I would really appreciate it!
If anyone is selling their West Thought coursepack from this previous year, I'd like to buy it!
